This was my fourth time visiting this museum because it is filled with so much history and information. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and will share with you their personal stories about the town. My daughter lives in Thermopolis and every time I come to visit her I have to bring friends and family to see their wonderful displays. It is amazing and a must see even if your just passing through. I learn something new each time I come.

Hot Springs County Museum is a wonderful Museum full of Hot Springs County history. The staff is always personable and caring and helpful! They always have wonderful events too! I always enjoy my time there!

super interesting and authentic. Everyone who worked there was super friendly and very informative. The variety of items was overwhelming. Hard to believe this is considered a small town museum. It’s huge! I loved it so much I went a second time.

Wow, I love small town museums and this one is a real winner. If you love local history, local indigenous history, and western history then this museum is for you. Better 4 hrs here than 4 days at the Smithsonian.

A comprehensive and eclectic mix of artifacts, photos, and displays that dramatize the history of this region. It respects native Americans, outlaws, farmers, miners and soldiers. Well worth the time and money.
