The Old West comes to life at the Hot Springs County Museum & Cultural Center! Belly up to the original Hole In The Wall bar where outlaws from the Hole-In-The-Wall gang once sat, including the infamous Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid! Though spirits are no longer served to patrons, it is a great place to sit and imagine the sights, sounds and smells that once surrounded this icon from the past.

Embark on an exciting adventure through a remarkable recreated old town, featuring shops, offices, a jail, and a one-room schoolhouse. Pay tribute to veterans through inspiring displays of their bravery. Delight in the Eggenhofer Exhibit’s remarkable collection, discover a trove of arrowheads and geological wonders, and engage young explorers in an exciting scavenger hunt. Take home a special souvenir from the gift shop, ensuring a memorable and fulfilling experience. The Museum has also a meeting room for rent.

Wyoming Rural School Experience

This 3.5-hour living history activity takes place in the historic one-room Middleton School, now located at the Hot Springs County Museum.

Hot Springs County Museum exists to serve as an educational resource for teaching and researching the history of Hot Springs County; to collect, preserve and exhibit artifacts that tell and interpret the stories of the region’s people; and to provide cultural activities that enrich the experiences of community and visitors.
